About this site
What Oriental Wisdom Journal is: a study site for the Book of Changes. What it is not: a fortune-telling or prediction service.
What this site is
A structured course for reading the I Ching as a text. 73 lessons in four tracks, starting with the binary structure underneath the hexagrams and ending with practice in reading a casting. Every lesson is free and stays free.
What this site is not
It does not predict. There is no reading of your future, no judgement about your situation, no omen. The hexagram engine on this site is a teaching tool: it assembles trigrams, King Wen order and Unicode figures so you can see how a hexagram is built.
If you came here looking for a fortune told, this is the wrong place — and we would rather say so plainly than dress a study exercise up as an answer.
How the course is organised
Background
Where the text comes from, what the ten wings are, how the book was read across its history.
Foundations
Yin and yang as binary, the four symbols, the eight trigrams, and how six lines become a hexagram.
The 64 Hexagrams
One lesson per hexagram, in King Wen order: structure, Judgment, Image and the line texts.
Practice
Casting methods, reading order, and building a habit of writing down what you understood.
Who runs it
Oriental Wisdom Journal is published by 成都辰云酉航电子商务有限责任公司 (Chengdu Chenyun Youhang E-Commerce Co., Ltd.), a company registered in Chengdu, China. The same company runs the platform's other services.
Oriental Wisdom Journal studies the Book of Changes as a text. These pages explain structure, vocabulary and reading method. Nothing here predicts the future or comments on what will happen to you.
